English

Objective
The main objective of this study is to examine and evaluate the extent to which modern technologies such as augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) impact two important aspects of digital marketing, i.e., brand tribalism and customer engagement levels. This study is conducted in the context of online stores and the popular social media platform Instagram. Specifically, the goal is to determine whether the use of these technologies can create a sense of tribalism and loyalty among customers towards a brand and whether AR and VR increase customer interactions with the brand.

Methodology
To achieve this objective, a mixed-methods approach was employed. In the qualitative phase, thematic analysis was conducted to gain an in-depth understanding of the perspectives and experiences of experts and practitioners. Data were collected through semi-structured, in-depth interviews with 20 experts and managers of online stores who had practical experience with these technologies. The interview data were subsequently analyzed using MAXQDA software. In the quantitative phase, a survey method was employed. A questionnaire was distributed and collected from 394 employees and managers of online stores and Instagram pages. The quantitative data were analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM) in SmartPLS3 software to evaluate the relationships between the variables and validate the conceptual model.

Findings
The qualitative phase revealed that augmented and virtual reality can affect brand tribalism and customer engagement. Several components were identified, including performance quality, user experience, brand communication quality, pricing strategies, technological environmental changes, internal organizational technologies, customer acquisition strategies, immersion, regulatory and legal factors, cultural initiatives, customers' sense of connection and attachment to the brand, managerial and economic factors, contracts, and strategic intelligence. The quantitative analysis also showed that all research hypotheses were confirmed at the 95% confidence level, indicating that the relationships among the investigated variables (AR and VR, brand tribalism, and customer engagement) are statistically significant.

Conclusion
The results of this study demonstrate that investing in modern technologies can significantly enhance customer interactions with a brand, strengthen their sense of loyalty and attachment towards the brand, and, consequently, improve online business profitability. This research provides significant theoretical value by presenting a comprehensive model that integrates qualitative and quantitative data. Notably, the proposed model shows that augmented and virtual reality not only serve as innovative marketing tools but also function as key drivers for fostering loyal brand communities and increasing meaningful customer engagement. By identifying the critical factors influencing brand tribalism in the age of modern technologies (such as performance quality, user experience, and brand communication quality) and explaining the complex relationships between these factors, this framework provides a unique theoretical foundation for future research in this field. It also offers new perspectives in digital marketing and brand management, helping companies design more effective marketing strategies by better understanding how to build and sustain deep and meaningful customer relationships through modern technologies.
