The effect of enterprise interior items on export performance (Case study: Exporting pistachio companies in Tehran)

Abstract

The companies need to identify the factors affecting their export performance to survive and succeed in export activities. Identifying the interior items, as they are controlled by the companies, are very important for export promotion. To evaluate the impact of these factors on the export performance of companies, an applied and descriptive research (correlation - regression analysis) has been done for exporting pistachio companies in Tehran. According to the conceptual model, which is presented by combining the models in this case, questionnaires were used to collect field data from 135 companies engaged in exporting pistachio in Tehran. Regarding the limited and determined society size, formula for finite population sampling is used to calculate the sample size. The sample size in this study is 135 exporting pistachio companies in Tehran. The analysis of data shows that interior factors such as property management and access to resources have a significant positive impact on export performance. All but two of the eleven sub-hypotheses have been confirmed. Based on these results, recommendations are provided for improving  export performance of exporting pistachio companies in Tehran.
