Providing a model of good e-governance in the online business environment of the insurance industry

Abstract

Objective
In recent years, advances in information and communication technology have led to the beginning of a new era of public sector reform and formation of e-business. One of the consequences of the formation of e-business is the development of good governance in society.
 
Methodology
As an applied sturdy, the statistical population of the present research included experts in the field of governance, e-commerce and insurance.  A combination of judgmental and snowball sampling methods was applied as the sampling method. Initially, experts who were familiar with the field were selected and then were asked to introduce the other experts to the researchers. Eventually, 15 interviewees were selected pool of participants. In this research, interview tools were used to gather the views.
 
Findings
The obtaind esults showed that the causal conditions (i.e. increasing the Internet penetration, developing the use of information technology, new expectations of insurance industry stakeholders, the need to establish an integrated insurance system), the underlying conditions (i.e. main insurance policies, information technology infrastructure and new technologies in the insurance industry, legal considerations, limitations of digital technology development), intervention conditions (specific features of insurance services, systematic attitude of managers, level of digital knowledge,skills, and digital culture), the cCore category (good e-governance in the insurance industry business environment), the strategies (improving interaction between insurance industry institutions, developing e-insurance, effective investment in information technology, strengthening digital culture), the consequential categories (efficient and effective interaction of insurance industry institutions, digital transformation in the insurance industry, the increase the satisfaction insurers and promoting justice and social welfare) are affecting the good governance of e-business in the online business environment in the insurance industry.
 
Conclusion
The achieved results indicated the effect of each of the different categories on good e-governance in the online business environment in the insurance industry. Therefore, to succeed, special attention must be paid to these categories.
